Ruth Hammond Band is a dynamic and versatile 5 or 7 piece party band who pride themselves on tailoring their musical entertainment to suit the tone of any event. Jazz sets available.
Their wide ranging repertoire caters for all musical tastes, ranging from jazz, rock 'n' roll, soul and classic rock to disco, eighties pop and current chart hits.
Members of the band have performed in such prestigious surroundings as the Albert Hall, Shepherd's Bush Empire and Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club (London) as well as appearing live on MTV, VH1, "Later - with Jools Holland", Channel 4's "The Priory and BBC Radio 1 and 4.
The line-up is highly adaptable - they most commonly go out as a 5-piece with vocals / drums / guitar / keys / trumpet, but can be booked as a full and fiesty 7-piece, so there is scope for all tastes, occasions and budgets.
They use a comprehensive Mackie sound system and have their own stage lights. As part of the service on a booking, background music or dance music is provided when the band are not performing.
